Gold price rises by Rs2,400 per tola in Pakistan

Gold Price Drops Rs14900 Per Tola To Rs438036 In Pakistan

KARACHI – Gold prices in Pakistan witnessed a significant increase on Saturday, with the price of one tola climbing by Rs2,400 amid a fresh surge in international bullion markets.

All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association (APGJA) said that the price of 24-karat gold per tola rose to Rs424,236 after the latest increase. The sharp rise reflects the impact of higher international gold prices, which continue to influence domestic bullion rates.

The association also reported that the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold increased by Rs2,057, taking it to Rs363,713 across the country.

Gold prices in Pakistan are closely linked to trends in the global market. Changes in international bullion prices, along with fluctuations in the value of the Pakistani rupee against the US dollar, often determine the direction of local gold rates.

In the international market, gold gained $24 per ounce, pushing the global price to $4,018 per ounce. The increase in global prices was quickly reflected in Pakistan’s local bullion market, leading to the latest rise in domestic gold rates.

Bullion traders said demand for gold typically strengthens during periods of economic uncertainty, as investors consider the precious metal a safe-haven asset. Rising international prices have therefore continued to put upward pressure on local markets.

The latest increase means that purchasing gold jewellery and investment bars has become more expensive for consumers. However, traders believe that market sentiment will remain closely tied to developments in global financial markets and future movements in international gold prices.

Gold remains one of the most popular investment options in Pakistan, with daily price fluctuations attracting the attention of investors, jewellers and consumers alike.
