ISLAMABAD – Gold prices in Pakistan touched Rs4.57Lac per Tola as international bullion rates also recorded an increase today.
On August 10, the price of 24K gold increased by Rs800 per tola, reaching Rs457,366. The price of 10 grams of gold also rose by Rs685, taking the rate to Rs392,091.
The latest increase follows a strong gain recorded during the previous trading session. On Saturday, the price of gold had climbed Rs2,200 per tola, closing at Rs456,536.

Gold also strengthened in the international market, where the price increased by $8 per ounce to $4,349. The quoted international rate included a $20 premium. Movements in international bullion prices are an important factor influencing gold rates in Pakistan, alongside exchange-rate fluctuations and local market conditions.
The Lahore market data highlights a particularly sharp increase between August 7 and August 8, when the per-tola price moved up by more than Rs12,000 compared with the preceding level.
The figures also show that gold has remained considerably above the levels recorded at the end of July. On July 31, the approximate Lahore rate stood at Rs428,550 per tola, compared with Rs450,050 on August 10.
Gold prices quoted by individual jewellery dealers may not always exactly match published market rates. Prices can vary according to the dealer, transaction time and the type of quotation, including “piece” and “pathoor” rates.
