In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Hurriyat leaders have paid glowing tributes to the veteran Hurriyat leader, Syed Ali Gilani, and re-nowned journalist, intellectual and Executive Direc-tor of Kashmir Media Service, Shaikh Tajammul-ul-Islam, who passed away recently.

Senior Hurriyat leader, Ghulam Mohammad Khan Sopori addressing a condolence meeting held in the memory of Syed Ali Gilani in Srinagar said with his demise, the people of the territory have been deprived of a great leader.

He said that the contribution of the veteran Hurriyat leader towards the Kashmir cause would always be remembered.

He said that Syed Ali Gilani remained steadfast against the Indian oppression. He reiterated the Kashmiris’ resolve to continue the freedom move-ment till it reached its logical conclusion.

The Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Movement (JKPM) Chairman, Mir Shahid Saleem, addressing a meeting organized in Jammu to remember the contributions and sacrifices of Syed Ali Gilani and Shaikh Tajammul-ul-Islam said they will always be remembered for their unflinching stand on the Kashmir dispute.—KMS
