Ghani dismayed over defying Covid-19 SOPs by educational institutes

Sindh Education and Labor Minister Saeed Ghani was annoyed that at various schools and colleges for not following Covid-19 SOPs.
He said that teachers and students have to play their vital role for social distancing in schools and colleges to protect educational institutions from the Corona virus. The minister said it is important that all SOPs be fully implemented.
He was talking to reporters during a surprise visit to ARG Government Degree College Razaqabad and Government Girls and Boys Primary School Razaqabad in Malir area.
Ghani reviewed the SOPs and other issues in the college in Razzaqabad area of Malir. On this occasion, he instructed the college principal and all the teachers to ensure that they themselves implement all the SOPs and also the students.
The minister late rvisited the Government Girls and Boys Primary School in Razzaqabad and expressed his dismay to the concerned principal over the lack of social distancing in the classes there.
He said that if there were more children, they should be called in shifts and alternate days. Even though there were no masks, he expressed his anger and distributed masks to the children with his own hands. On this occasion, he directed the school principal to ensure full implementation of all SOPs in the school. Later, Sindh Education Minister Saeed Ghani reached Government Boys High School in Thatta. The provincial minister reviewed the ongoing teaching process in the school and expressed satisfaction over the implementation of sanitizers, masks and other SOPs in the school. However, he expressed frustration over the lack of cleanliness in the school. Given that there is a lack of social distance in the classrooms, it should be ensured as much as possible and all the teachers should ensure that the children should be informed about SOPs for 2 to 3 minutes before the teaching process.
The provincial minister said that teachers should be present on their duties in all cases.
