Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan, President Muslim Conference, has termed G-20 Forum’s May 22-24, 2023 meetings in Srinagar as a dangerous trend of disrespect to international laws and UN’s Kashmir mandate, condemning India for using G-20 fraternity to camouflage her military occupation of Kashmir. India is a shameful violator of international laws confirmed by her track record, he added.

In a statement here Friday he reminded the members of G-20 Group that Jammu and Kashmir is a UN-listed international dispute since January 1948. UN Security Council have passed dozens of Kashmir resolutions rejecting Indian occupation and even India herself stands committed by those resolutions as she had signed them all. The UN Kashmir settlement road map prescribes an international plebiscite in Jammu and Kashmir, accepted and signed by India. By holding G-20 meetings in Srinagar India wishes to convey an impression of military occupation camouflage. All members of the Group should treat Indian move as international misconduct, SardarAttique added.

He informed that Kashmiris are protesting this newly staged gimmick by Indian government who has imprisoned political leaders of all Kashmiri political parties, thousands of Kashmiri youth, rights workers, women and even teenagers. Only a day before India shifted Kashmiri political detenues from Jammu KotBhalwal jail to different jails within India, he added.

He urged member countries in G-20 not to become part of Indian international blackmailing by leading them to a UN-recognized disputed region. Kashmir dispute is alive on UN Security Council agenda, he remined.
