FWMC begins mechanical washing of main thoroughfares

On the third day of Khidmat Aap ki Dehleez Par Program in the district, the Faisalabad Waste Management Company (FWMC) launched mechanical washing of all important main thoroughfares of the industrial city.

Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ali and MNA Faiz Ullah Kamooka inaugurated the mechanical washing of important roads along with FWMC CEO Kashif Raza Awan and GM (Operations) Col (r) Emad Iqbal Gul.

On the occasion, the deputy commissioner said that road washing with modern machinery is an essential part of cleanliness week and all important roads and highways will be washed under a phased-wide programme.

He claimed that all-out efforts are being made to provide the public with services at their doorsteps and hundred percent targets are being achieved.

Meanwhile, the DC and MNA cleared garbage from various alleys and streets on Jaranwala and other busiest roads under the first week of the program.

The FWMC CEO said that the programme is being implemented in an effective manner and they are committed to come up to the public expectations.

He asked the citizen to identify and pinpoint heaps of garbage via mobile app and the FWMC would resolve complaints as early as possible.

Meanwhile, the FWMC teams remained busy with work in the field and successfully cleared garbage from various City areas.
