Four held with liquor


Police claimed on Sunday to have arrested four criminals and recovered liquor, hashish and illegal weapons from their possession.

The police arrested Umair from Shahabpura Phatak area, in the jurisdiction of Hajipura police station

and recovered 1.54 kg hashish from him.

An accused Shams was arrested with five litres liq-uor from Gohadpur area, in the limits of Muradpur

police station.

Sadr police recovered a pistol and five bullets from Kashif and 20 liters liquor from Usman atSultan Chowk.

Cases have been registered against the accused.

On the other hand two persons were caught for al-legedly pilfering electricity from main transmission

lines and through meter tampering in separate inci-dents in the district.

On the report of Sub Division Officers (SDOs GEPCO), Phalora and Ugoki police raided at Galla-wala, Muzaffarpur and caught red-handed Asghar and Muhammad Gull while pilfering electricity from main transmis-sion lines and through meter tampering.

Cases have been registered against the accused.

On the other hand two shopkeepers were booked for decanting liquid gas illegally at a nearby locality.

Rangpura police raided at Talib Shiekh Mola locality and caught shopkeepers Yasir Ali and Azam red-handed for refilling cylinders with gas from large cylinders illegally.

Proceedings against the accused underway.
