QUETTA – Balochistan has been jolted by four back-to-back bomb blasts at different locations, sending waves of fear through residents, but miraculously, no one was injured.
The first blast occurred in Kachi, where unidentified armed men launched hand grenade attack on a police mobile van. Sariab Police DSP Asif Ghafoor confirmed that, despite a violent attack, there were no casualties.
Another explosion tore through Mir Munir Ahmad Mengal Road, next to the railway track. Police said unknown perpetrators had planted explosives near the track, and the blast damaged one and a half to two feet of the railway line, highlighting the audacity of the attackers.
The city’s nerves were further tested when two more explosions shook Qambarani Road in Sariab during the morning hours. Police officials reported that one of the blasts was caused by a hand grenade attack, while the second originated from explosives planted on a motorcycle. Alarmingly, the motorcycle bomb appeared to target the bomb disposal squad, yet, remarkably, no one was harmed.
Authorities are investigating the incidents, warning citizens to remain alert as Quetta grapples with a day of coordinated attacks that could have had devastating consequences.
