The Islamabad Capital Police had taken foolproof security measures in the federal capital during the former Prime Minister and the Quaid of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Mian Nawaz Sharif’s visit to the federal capital on Tuesday for appearance before the Accountability Court and the Islamabad High Court (IHC).
Nawaz Sharif had sought suspension of the perpetual arrest warrants in Tosha Khana case and protective bail in the Al-Azizia and Avenfield references, in which he has been convicted. The courts had summoned him in person and the former three-time Prime Minister accompanied by his younger brother ex-PM Shehbaz Sharif, former Finance Minister Ishaq Dar and other party leaders had come for hearing in thes cases.
According to the spokesperson of the police, the federal police was actively engaged in ensuring effective security arrangements during the hearings of significant cases in the superior courts situated in high-security zone.
Nawaz Sharif who had arrived in Murree a night earlier (Monday) reached Islamabad early Tuesday morning in the company of the PML-N workers, local leadership and the The Islamabad Capital Police teams in the high-security zone were diligently fulfilling their duties to ensure the effective security arrangements during the hearings of crucial cases in the superior courts, the police official said.
