Firefighters at last managed to extinguish the fire that had erupted at one of the shops outside the Kot Lakhpat Railway Station in Lahore early Thursday morning.
Woods worth millions of rupees were gutted in the fire that had erupted at a wood’s store and soon spread to the neighbouring shops.
The intensity of the blaze could be gauged from the fact that the clouds of smoke rising from the store could be seen from the distance.
The fire also disrupted the flow of traffic on the city’s Peco Road.
