Fifth monsoon spell will likely continue across Lahore and most parts of Punjab on Friday evening and night, as well as on Saturday, with occasional breaks.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), dtrong moist currents from the Arabian Sea are penetrating upper parts of Pakistan. A trough of westerly wave also prevails over north-western parts.

More monsoon rains and windstorms with isolated heavy downpours are likely in Rawalpindi, Murree, Galiyat, Gujrat, Jhelum, Attock, Chakwal, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Mandi Bahauddin, Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore, Pakpattan, Kasur, Okara, Sheikhupura, Faisalabad, Jhang, Sargodha, Mianwali, Bahawalnagar, Bahawalpur, Sahiwal, D.G. Khan, Rajanpur, Kot Addu, Layyah, and Bhakkar.
