RAWALPINDI – Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, was given warm farewell by Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir during a meeting at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi, ISPR said.
In a statement, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Field Marshal Asim Munir lauded General Sahir Shamshad’s leadership, vision, and exemplary services, highlighting his central role in strengthening coordination among the three branches of the Pakistan Armed Forces.
Field Marshal also commended General Sahir’s contributions to joint operational readiness, national security objectives, regional stability, and military diplomacy.
In response, General Sahir Shamshad Mirza expressed gratitude for the support and cooperation of Field Marshal Asim Munir and the entire Pakistan Armed Forces.
Upon his arrival at GHQ, a floral wreath was laid at the Martyrs’ Memorial in his honor, and a well-disciplined contingent of the Pakistan Army presented him with a ceremonial guard of honor.
