Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Cyber Crime Wing claimed on Monday to have busted two persons allegedly involved in making fake abduction phone calls to parents of schoolchildren to get ransom from them in the city.

The accused used to make fake abduction phone calls to parents of schoolchildren and demand ransom when the students were on trip.

The fraudsters used to get the benefit of the absence of contact between parents and students as they were out in the tourist area with teachers and school administration.

The culprits had collected the data of parents from computers of the high-ranked schools.

The culprits were practicing this crime for a long.

FIA has registered a case against the miscreants and started further investigation.
