The police arrested a fake cop involved in looting foreigners here in the metropolis on Friday. Cash, foreign currency, police uniform and walkie talkie recovered. According to details, a fraudster Zahid impersonating as policeman was mastermind of a four-member gang engaged in running online taxi service.
The culprit was son of a retired police officer and he along with other members of the gang used to loot the foreigners by alleging them of members of banned outfit “Daesh”.
The accused recently looted a Chinese national near Teen Talwar. The police during a raid held the culprit stated to be master-mind of four-member gang besides recovering police uniform, a walkie talkie, 400 dollars and 27,000 Pakistani currency from possession of the detainee who was being investigated after registering a case against him.
