Vice Chancellor highlights academic achievements, research and new institutional initiatives;
Faisal stresses stronger media-academia ties for research and knowledge sharing

Mr. Faisal Zahid Malik, Chairman & Editor-in-Chief, Pakistan Observer, visited Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU), Islamabad, and held a meeting with Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Zafar Nawaz Jaspal.
During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on matters of mutual interest, with particular emphasis on strengthening cooperation and linkages between academia and the media.
Prof. Dr. Zafar Nawaz Jaspal briefed Mr. Faisal Zahid Malik about Quaid-i-Azam University’s academic and research profile, its significant contributions to higher education, and its role in promoting knowledge, research and intellectual development. He also highlighted the University’s new initiatives and ongoing efforts to enhance its engagement with national and international institutions.
Mr. Faisal Zahid Malik appreciated the outstanding academic and research contributions of Quaid-i-Azam University and acknowledged its important role in shaping Pakistan’s intellectual and academic landscape. He emphasized the need for closer collaboration between leading educational institutions and the media to promote research, knowledge-sharing, informed public discourse and greater awareness of Pakistan’s academic achievements.
The meeting also discussed potential avenues for collaboration between Pakistan Observer and Quaid-i-Azam University, particularly in areas of research, education, media engagement and the promotion of academic initiatives.
Both sides expressed their commitment to exploring meaningful opportunities for cooperation and further strengthening the relationship between academia and the media in the larger national interest.
