Fai condoles demise of former JI Hind Ameer

The Secretary General of Washington-based World Kashmir Awareness Forum (WKAF), Dr Ghulam Nabi Fai, has expressed his profound grief and sorrow over the death of former Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Ameer and reputed Muslim scholar Maulana Jalaluddin Umri, who passed away in New Delhi, India, on Friday.

Dr Ghulam Nabi Fai in a statement issued in Washington said, “Moulana Jalaluddin Umary Sahib, besides being the Amir of Jamaate Islami India, was exceptionally brilliant Muslim scholar, orator and intellectual. I have had the honor of listening to his speeches in person for more than a year. He had undoubtedly a pleasant personality.”

He said that Moulana had discussed the Kashmir dispute with me and other Kashmiri Muslim students. Dr Ghulam Nabi Fai prayed to Allah Almighty to place his soul in Jannatul Firdous.—KMS
