Expected date of Ramadan 2024 in Saudi Arabia surfaces

Muslims around the world are gearing up for the sacred month of Ramadan as the expected commencement date is less than two months away.

Based on astronomical calculations, reports said, the first day of Ramadan 2024 in Saudi Arabia is likely to be observed on March 11. This year, Ramadan will be observed in winter season for the first time after 26 years.

Chairman of the Emirates Astronomy Society Board of Directors, Ibrahim Al Jarwan, said the winter season began on December 22 and will continue until March 20.

The fasting hours during Ramadan will vary across different countries, with the possibility of the duration exceeding 12 to 17 hours this year.

In regions such as the Gulf and the Middle East, including Saudi Arabia and Egypt, the possible fasting hours are estimated to be between 13 to 15 hours, depending on the geographical location.

Expected Eidul Fitr 2024 Date in Saudi Arabia

According to the experts, Eidul Fitr is expected to be fall on April 10 or 11 in Saudi Arabia.

Expected date of Ramadan 2024 in Pakistan

Pakistan’s Met Office and relevant departments are yet to make announcement about tentative date for commencement of Ramadan 2024 in the country.

Normally, the first day of Ramadan is observed in the country a day after the holy month begins in Saudi Arabia or on the same day.
