Sindh Forensic DNA and Serology Laboratory (SFDL) at the International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS), University of Karachi, successfully completed the three-day training session for Crime Scene Unit (CSU) Officers, Sindh Police, on Wednesday.
The training was aimed at capacity building of the CSU Officers on effective collection of sample, labelling & packing, and documentation.A total of 90 CSU Officers attended the three-day training session held at the L.E.J. Director Acting Prof. Dr. Farzana Shaheen, and SFDL In charge and Project Director Dr. Ishtiaq Ahmad Khan attended the concluding ceremony.In her concluding remarks, Ms. Naseem Ara Panhwar thanked Prof. Dr. M. Iqbal Choudhary, Director of the International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences, and COMSTECH Coordinator General, for organizing such useful training sessions for capacity building of CSU Officers. He also applauded the latest equipment and working capacity of the Sindh Forensic DNA and Serology Laboratory.Prof. Farzana Shaheen congratulated the organizers for holding successful training sessions in the international center. She also appreciated the discipline of the participants.
SFDL In charge and Project Director Dr. Ishtiaq Ahmad Khan also presented the vote of thanks in the ceremony.The lady police official along with the participants of the training session also paid a visit to Sindh Forensic DNA and Serology Laboratory.At the end of the ceremony, the participants received a certificate from the officials of Sindh police and the ICCBS.
