GENEVA – As escalation continues unabated between Iran and Israen, Tehran made it clear that no nuclear talks will happed as bombs fall, linking negotiations with end of Israeli airstrikes.

Iran Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi ruled out any negotiations with Washington over its nuclear program unless Israeli airstrikes come to halt, setting ceasefire as clear condition for reengaging with Trump administration.

He made announcement on Iranian TV, saying there can be no talks with US while Israel’s attacks persist. His remarks came a day after President Donald Trump signaled possible two-week window for renewed diplomacy, dampening speculation of immediate U.S. military action against Iran’s nuclear facilities.

Despite diplomatic overtures, fighting on the ground continues. Tel Aviv reported overnight airstrikes targeting Iranian missile installations, while an Iranian missile struck southern Israel. Though casualty figures remain uncertain, Teran claimed 240 people have been killed in Israeli attacks as of June 16. In response, at least 24 Israelis have reportedly been killed by Iranian strikes.

Iranian FM condemned Israeli military actions as grave violations of international law, calling the strikes on Iranian nuclear and military sites “serious war crimes.” He also accused Israel of deliberately derailing diplomacy by launching attacks just before a planned June 15 round of U.S.-Iran negotiations.

President Trump reiterated that Iran should have accepted a US proposal, though the full terms remain undisclosed. The only known condition was a complete halt to Iran’s nuclear enrichment.
