The inter-provincial highway connecting Punjab with Balochistan via Dera Ghazi Khan could not be restored for traffic on the third day.
Due to the haste of the drivers, long queues of vehicles have formed on the inter-provincial highway in which the passengers are starving and thirsty but there is no relief.
Due to the closure of the highway, long queues of vehicles coming from Balochistan to Punjab have formed at Rakhi Gaj, but the administration is busy making arrangements for the visit of the Punjab Chief Minister.
Due to the closure of the highway, the supply of fruits and vegetables from Balochistan to Punjab has also been affected and the goods lying in the vehicles stuck in the traffic have started deteriorating.
According to the police, the truck that overturned on the highway yesterday was removed by heavy machinery but the haste of the drivers has badly affected the traffic system. Police said that they are the first to try to remove small vehicles from the highway.
