CTA’s cultural program for foreign delegates concludes

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Author-ity successfully on Wednesday wrapped up the cul-tural musical night, part of the four-day conference on peace and sports, for the foreign delegates par-ticipating in the event. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Cul-ture and Tourism Authority, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sports Department, Bank of Khyber, AIPS Asia, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sports Writers Associa-tion jointly organized a four-day “International Peace and Sports Conference” from October 30 to November 2 at Peshawar.

Director General KPCTA Bakhtiar Khan, Asian Sports Journalists Federation President Hee Din Jung from Korea, Niranjan from Nepal, Awad Bin Mubarak from Saudi Arabia, Ramakrihnan Karup-paih from Sri Lanka, Izahar Atan from Malaysia, Eldar Ismayilov from Azerbaijan, Emmanuel Fanta-nean from Hungary, Anna Szilagyi from Hungary, Nargiz Mahmudzade from Europe, and delegates from Afghanistan and other countries attended the event. While addressing the conference, Bakhtiar Khan said, “We are taking adequate steps for the promotion of tourism and culture in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa”.

He said, “For providing facilities to tourists, the tourism authority is implementing several new pro-jects for the promotion of tourism in the province including the settlement of new tourist spots.” Sev-eral initiatives had been taken, such as integrated tourism zones, camping pods, tourism police, tourist rest areas, resorts, jeep tracks, and many others, he added. Eleven delegates from ten countries, young sports journalists from across the country, and other participants joined the four-day symposium.
