Provincial department of health, Sindh, has taken notice and strict action against health mafia in Karachi over corruption in Covid19 preventive equipment, serious irregularities and not following the orders of Health department.
The mastermind of mafia Khalil Bhutto and Dr Nasrullah Memon got caught while store keeper of health department Shahnawaz Bajwa is still trying to save himself. While for Health Department officers, who were waiting for their appointments on vacancies, deployment orders have been issued. Chief Minister Sindh and Health minister have ordered strict action for not doing right purchasing of Covid-19 PPE according to the law.
According to the details, Government of Sindh on the recommendation of Sindh Department has ordered Dr Nasrullah Memon BPS 19 Deputy director creative health directorate Karachi to report in his department according to notification no. (SO) SGARCD/2/04/2018/H-39 while 10 additional charges given to him are suspended according to this order.
According to another notification issued by Health department Sindh (SO) (PM-1) K-47/2013 Khalil Bhutto BPS 17 who was account officer in director health office Karachi has been removed from his post and transferred to district health office Sukkur.
While according to another order of Sindh government on vacancies available by removal of Dr Nasrullah Memon according to the notification (SO) B-2/2019 – 20 Dr Aftab Ali Jokhio BPS 19 is appointed as medical superintendent on a hospital Dumba goth district Malir comprising of 36 beds and according to another notification (SO) B-2/2019-20 Dr Muhammad Hussain Sheikh BPS 19 is appointed as medical superintendent with financial authority on 50 bed Gadap Town hospital. Keeping in mind that Sindh Government has granted health Department Karachi emergency Covid-19 fund 3 crore 45 lac rupees for Frontline doctors, paramedics, nurses.
