District administration took sharp action on the complaints of the public for sky high prices of essential food items and had five shopkeepers were arrested with registration of five FIR’s and also sealing of 3 shops.
Fine of Rs 215,000/= was also imposed on the shopkeepers for overcharging the prices of food items including meat and mutton shops. Total numbers of raids were 178 conducted on different shops in different localities including Havelian.
