An Accountability Court here issued directives ot the authorities concerned to block all the Computerized National Identity Cards of absconding family members of Sindh Assembly Speaker Aga Siraj Khan Durrani who is already in custody of the National Accountability Bureau.
The NAB produced the Speaker Durrani in the accountability court, Saturday morning and its prosecutor presented a report about the absconding accused in the assets beyond legitimate means of income case. The court was apprised that Muhammad Irfan, Syed Muhammad Shah, Gul Bahar, Lohar Balouch, Shakil Ahmed Soomro, Ghulam Murtaza and Munawwar Ali were at large and that the spouse and daughter of the arrested Speaker were also at large on which the Judge of the accountability court passed an immediate order under which the authorities concerned were directed to immediately block all the CNICs of the absconding accused which included Naheed Durrani, wife of Aga Siraj Durrani, Shahbaz Ali Khan, son and his daughters Sanam Durrani, Sara Durrani, Shahana Durrani and Sonia Durrani.
The accountability court Judge also remarked that in case the absconding accused were not arrested then they would be separated from the case being heard. The Judge also directed the NAB prosecutor to submit a report on absconding accused and by ordering for accelerating the pace of the trial, the hearing was adjourned till October 22.
Meanwhile, talking to the reporters, Durrani told that he had no knowledge about the Azadi March announced by the Jamiat Ulema-e Islam-F because he was in custody and was unaware of the affairs outside.
He said that he has heard that Maulana would be heading towards Islamabad but it would be uncertain until he reaches the venue in Islamabad. He said that the Prime Minister always takes a u-turn.
