The Lahore High Court ordered on Friday to first seal factories involved in spreading of pollution and in case of repeated violation demolish them.
A hearing was held in the Lahore High Court on smog remediation and environmental pollution petitions.
Justice Shahid Karim said that all the resources should be used for smog prevention, fruit and shade trees should be planted in the city.
The court ordered that the polluting factories should first be sealed and demolished on violation, while action should be taken against the environmental officer of the area where there is pollution.
The Lahore High Court has sought a detailed report on the operation against encroachment in the city, while it has also sought a report from the LDA on the action against tree cutting in Bahria Town.
