Cop martyred, 4 injured in Charsadda, Bajaur blasts

A mild intensity bomb explosion at a police station in Charsadda and a blast at Bajaur tribal district on Friday left a policeman martyred and four persons seriously wounded. The death toll may be higher as the condition of the two injured has been described as critical.

According to reports a blast ripped through the main gate of Nasatta Police station in Charsadda district that resulted in the martyrdom of a cop. The Shaheed cop has been identified as Raham Badsha hailing from Behlola area or Charsadda. Police said it was ascertaining the nature of the blast. Another explosion taking place in Tehsil Mamond of Bajaur tribal district left at least four people seriously wounded. The victims were rushed to the district headquarter hospital Khar for treatment,

According to SDPO Mamond the condition of at least two blast victims was precarious and they have been transported to Peshawar for treatment.

The Police authorities have registered a case against unknown culprits and started probe into both the blasts.
