Federal Minister for Education Safqat Mehmood and Sindh Minister for Education Saeed Ghani have said that they are trying their best to further improve the quality of education in the country. Problems have certainly occurred but we are trying to alleviate them as much as possible. Many problems have been solved due to the common policy regarding educational institutions across the country after Covid 19. The two ministers expressed these views during a meeting at the office of the provincial minister on Thursday. Secretary Sindh Education Muhammad Ahmad Narejo, Federal Joint Secretary Education Rafiq Tahir, Additional Secretary Sindh Education Fauzia Khan and other officials of Sindh Education Department were also present on the occasion. Education issues across the country were discussed during the meeting. Shafqat Mahmood said that we are trying our best to improve the quality of education in the country. “Currently, after a joint decision to reopen educational institutions across the country in different phases from September 15 to 30, almost six months after the closure due to Covid 19, we hope that we will continue to take all decisions jointly in the future,” he said. “We will do this so that education can be promoted across the country. He said that there have been problems in the field of education in the country after covid 19 but we are trying to solve it as much as possible. Saeed Ghani said that many problems have been solved due to the common policy regarding educational institutions across the country after Covid 19. “We agree that there should be full consultation with all provinces for education reform,” he said. He said that with the consultation of all the provinces including the curriculum and academic year, we will be able to improve the quality of education across the country. However, it is clear that whatever the joint decision is it will be under the 18th amendment. The formal announcement of its implementation will be made by the provinces themselves. Shafqat Mahmood said that the impression is being given that we are eliminating English from the curriculum. his impression is totally wrong. Language is being implemented and the aim is that we do not want to impose any kind of educational burden on children. He also stressed the need to address the lack of communication between all the provinces so that we can bring about the best possible reforms in the field of education.
