The meeting chaired by the Commissioner Karachi Muhammad Iqbal Memon reviewed the arrangements for the One Day International and T20 matches to be held between Pakistan and West Indies-December 13-22 in the city.
Meeting was attended among others by the Additional I G Ghulam Nabi Memon, Additional Commissioner Karachi Jawwad Muzaffer, Deputy Commissioners Asif Jan Siddiqui and Irshad Sdhar respectively from east and south , Additional Deputy Commissioner Malir Zainul Abedin Administrator DMC east Rehgmatullh shaikh PCB representative/General Manager National Staidum Arshad Khan senior officials of KMC DMCs, Traffic Police, Water and Sewerage Board, Health Departmentm, Fire brigade, Police and Rangers.
Commissioner was brifed about the arrangements for the securituy and civic facilities . It was told the meeting that arrangements are being made for the fool proof security on the occasion.
Police and Pakistan Rangers briefed about the security arrangements in the meeting. Deputy Commissioner east Asif jan Siddiqui ,Deputy commissioner south Irshad Sodhar GM of the National Stadium Arshd Khan , and other officers briefed the meeting about the arrangements they are responsible for.
GM Arshd Khan told the meeting that guidelines for crona virus as issued by the National Command and Operations Centre, would be followed strictly .
According to the guidelines individuals above 12 are required to be fully vaccinated, while no vaccination is required for the children below the age of 12. “The access to the stadium will be granted upon the display of original ticket, CNIC and Nadra-issued immunization certificate for Covid-19.” he further briefed the meeting.
It was decided in the meeting that parking arrangements would be made at Hakeem Muhammad Saeed ground and Gharib Nawaz ground and the shuttle service would be provided to the spectator to reach the stadium.
Commissioner asked the concerned officials to make special arrangement for cleanliness around statidum and on the roads approaching to the Stadium. For the Beautification, he instructed the Administrator DMC east flowers pots and plants should be placed
Administrator DMC east and other civic agencies were asked to make all out efforts for the cleanliness, street lights and water supply. A committee was formed under the chairmanship of the DC East Asif Jan Siddiqui to ensure and look after the arrangements for the cleanliness and with regard to the civic facilities. Committee was asked to ensure to coordinate with KE for supply of electricity.
