LAHORE – Pakistani comedian Nasir Chinyoti has addressed Indian fans who criticized actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh for collaborating with Pakistani actress Hania Aamir in the film Sardaar Ji 3.
The film, which stars Indian actor Diljit Dosanjh and Pakistani actress Hania Aamir, was released worldwide on June 27. However, due to pressure from Indian extremists, the film was reportedly not screened publicly in India. Alongside Hania, renowned Pakistani comedian Nasir Chinyoti also appeared in the movie.
Following the release, Diljit faced a backlash from Indian citizens for working with Pakistani artists. In response, Nasir Chinyoti shared a video message expressing his views.
Addressing the Indian public, Chinyoti said, “Diljit Dosanjh is your own artist and your brother. Indian fans should try to show him love and support.”
Expressing his affection for Diljit, Chinyoti added, “You stood by us, and for that, we love you. We admired you before and will continue to do so.”
He went on to thank audiences in Pakistan and overseas for showing love to the film.
“My only message is that you should support Diljit and not bring him down over petty issues. This film was made long before the recent tensions between India and Pakistan,” he added.
