Cold wave continues unabated in Kashmir Valley

Cold wave conditions continue across the Kashmir valley of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, as the night temperature remains below the freezing point, the local meteorological department has forecast dry weather till February 14.

It is to be mentioned here that occupied Kashmir is currently passing through the “Chilla Khurd”, the twenty day period of severe cold that started on February 01. It will be followed by a 10-day period “Chilla Bacha”, which will end on February 29. The occupied territory witnesses a 40-day harshest winter period called “Chillai Kalan” from December 21 to January 31.

Meanwhile, Indian police arrested a youth at Nowshera in Rajouri district of occupied Jammu and Kashmir and lodged in District Jail, Rajouri.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the police arrested the youth, identified as Mohammad Azam, a resident of Qila Darhal of the district, under draconian Public Safety Act (PSA). The police have claimed that the arrested youth was involved in anti-India activities in the territory.—KMS
