Interim Chief Minister Justice (Retd) Maqbool Baqar exercised his democratic right by casting his vote at Polling Station Government Boys Secondary School No.2, Block-6, PECHS for NA-237 and PS-104.

He expressed satisfaction with the security arrangements and smooth functioning of polling stations, expecting an increase in voter turnout. Baqar affirmed the provincial government’s provision of necessary facilities for the Election Commission of Pakistan, including transportation for election staff. He clarified that the suspension of mobile services was a federal government decision, assumed to be made for valid reasons.

Later, he visited the Command & Control Center at Civic Center and monitored the polling process via CCTV coverage, receiving briefings from Home Minister Brig (Retd) Haris Nawaz and IG Police Riffat Mukhar. Baqar, accompanied by the Home Minister and IG Police, also conducted an aerial view of the polling process via helicopter.
