CM, IGP pin promotion badges on five police officers

A ceremony was held at the Chief Ministers Office here on Friday to pin promotion badges on police officers promoted as superintendent of police (SP). Caretaker Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Usman Anwar pinned the promotion badges on newly promoted five assistant superintendents of police. Among the officers promoted to the position of SP were Salman Zafar, Taimoor Khan, Bushra Nisar, Sidra Khan and Munazza Karamat. The chief minister felicitated the officers and said that promotion was the right of police officers which had been given to them. He said that the promoted officers were expected to serve the people and hoped that they would utilize their capabilities for the purpose. Additional IG Special Branch, Capital City Police officer Lahore and other police officers attended the ceremony, besides families of the promoted officers. Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives in a recent traffic accident near Lodhran. In his statement, he assured the affected families of full support, directed enhanced medical care for the injured, and called for legal action against the negligent driver.

Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar presided over a meeting to review the performance of the Tahaffuz markaz at the Central Police Office, in which IG Punjab Dr Usman Anwar reviewed the performance of Tahaffuz markaz Multan. IG Punjab met the staff of Tahaffuz markaz Multan, citizens, children and transgenders who got help from Police.

Namreen Munir DSP Focal Person Tahaffuz markaz Multan while giving a briefing said that Police Tahaffuz markaz Multan has provided social protection to 183 people so far.
