ISLAMABAD – Retail cement prices in Pakistan recorded a modest rise over the past week, according to the latest data from the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics.
For the week ending March 26, the average retail price of cement in northern cities was Rs1,482 per bag, up 0.43% from the previous week’s Rs 1,476.
In southern cities, the average price increased by 1.20%, reaching Rs1,489 per bag compared to Rs1,471 the week before.
City-wise, prices were noted as follows: Islamabad Rs1,441, Rawalpindi Rs1,433, Gujranwala Rs1,520, Sialkot Rs1,510, Lahore Rs1,509, Faisalabad Rs1,450, Sargodha Rs1,500, Multan Rs1,513, Bahawalpur Rs1,533, Peshawar Rs1,493, and Bannu Rs1,400.
In southern and western regions, cement prices were reported at Karachi Rs1,400, Hyderabad Rs1,498, Sukkur Rs1,550, Larkana Rs1,413, Quetta Rs1,470, and Khuzdar Rs1,600 per bag.
The slight price increase reflects ongoing market adjustments in construction material costs across the country.
