ISLAMABAD – The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has planned to establish a vibrant and well-organized food street near Shakarparian in Islamabad.
Reports said CDA has decided to name the upcoming culinary and culture hub “Capital Street” where residents of Islamabad and others will be able to enjoy with their families in a safe and lively environment.
The development authority has allocated land near the Art and Craft Village for the project, which is a part of the ongoing beautification efforts.
Capital Street in Islamabad will be a vibrant cultural and entertainment hub, according to officials from the Capital Development Authority (CDA). The ambitious project will feature a range of attractions, including restaurants, outdoor cafes, art workshops, and an exhibition space, alongside recreational areas and family-friendly zones. The goal is to highlight the region’s local arts and culinary offerings while providing a safe, welcoming environment for residents and visitors.
During a high-level meeting earlier this year, CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa underscored the importance of enhancing the city’s food scene and improving hygiene and management standards.
In addition to the new Capital Street development, the CDA has approved a series of upgrades aimed at enhancing existing food areas. These include improvements to lighting, parking facilities, and waste management systems to ensure a better experience for visitors.
The groundwork for the Capital Street has not yet started, officials confirmed.
