Call for making Rawalpindi green city

Commissioner Rawalpindi Division Engineer Aamir Khattak was Chief Guest at the function organized in connection with World Cities Day at Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce. RPO Babar Sarfaraz Alpa and DGRDA Kinza Murtaza, Director AIC Ijaz Qamar Kayani, Pakistan Sweet Homes Zumard Khan, Group Leader Sohail Altaf and other officials participated in this event. Speaking on the occasion, Commissioner Rawalpindi said that the purpose of celebrating this day is to promote cooperation among countries to tackle the challenges of urbanization and sustainable urban development worldwide. Along-with getting opportunities, People face various challenges as population moves from villages to cities. Commissioner Rawalpindi further said that the provincial government has started many projects for the development of the city. He said that he will come to Rawalpindi Chamber along with his team and give a detailed briefing regarding city development and urban planning. He appreciated the initiative taken by the chamber to make Rawalpindi a green city under the ReView Pakistan project.
