Books ‘Geeton Bhara Registan’ and Sehra Ke Dhoohey’ by Bharu Mal Amrani launched

The Caretaker Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training, Mr. Madad Ali Sindhi graced the book launching ceremony of books, “Geeton Bhara Registan” and “Sehra Ke Dhoohey,” authored by Bharu Mal Amrani.In his keynote address as the chief guest, the Federal Minister Madad Ali Sindhi highlighted prominent efforts of Bharu Mal Amrani for translating Sindhi folklore and poetry in Urdu in his latest collections.

He credited former provincial minister of Sindh for Culture, Tourism and Antiquities, Syed Sardar Ali Shah, for launching the Translation Bureau scheme.The Minister highlighted Syed Sardar’s efforts regarding the literature and said that the former minister had worked hard and published many books in different languages, including Sindhi, Urdu, and English.

He further said that the Sindh Culture Department also published ‘Shah Jo Risalo.’

The Minister also lauded the efforts of educators, authors, and publishers in advancing the cause of education and cultural preservation.Emphasizing the government’s commitment to educational reforms and the preservation of historical narratives, the Federal Minister stressed the need for including government schools in political parties’ manifestoes to provide quality education.

The Federal Minister Mr. Madad Ali Sindhi was also presented with a copy of the books and a special souvenir at the event. Moreover, the former Sindh Culture and Education Minister, Syed Sardar Shah, Secretary of Sindhi Adabi Sangat, Taj Joyo, Anthropology Lecturer, Rafique Wassan, Dr. Ahsan Danish, Amar Sindhu, and others also attended the ceremony.

The ceremony was held on 6th January 2024 at Arts Council of Pakistan, Karachi, where notable authors, writers, and members of the literature community attended the event.
