LAHORE – The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore on Thursday announced the results of the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Part II (Matric) First Annual Examination 2026, with an overall pass percentage of 64.53%.
According to the official result statistics, 285,587 candidates applied for the examination, while 282,308 appeared. A total of 182,186 students passed.

The Science Group recorded an overall pass percentage of 69.23%.
A total of 217,482 candidates appeared in the Science Group examinations, including 119,081 regular and 98,401 private candidates. Overall, 150,566 students passed.
Among regular candidates, the pass percentage stood at 82.50%, with girls achieving 87.16%, compared with 76.84% for boys.
Among private candidates, the overall pass percentage was 53.18%, with girls recording 64.61% and boys 43.11%.
Overall, girls outperformed boys in the Science Group, posting a pass percentage of 77.83%, while boys recorded 60.21%.
The Humanities Group recorded an overall pass percentage of 48.78%.
According to the board’s statistics, 64,826 candidates appeared in the Humanities Group examination, including 27,804 regular and 37,022 private candidates. A total of 31,620 students passed.
The overall pass percentage among regular candidates was 61.29%, while private candidates recorded 39.38%.
Regular girls achieved a pass percentage of 64.97%, compared with 45.39% for regular boys. Among private candidates, girls recorded 48.25%, while boys achieved 28.44%.
Overall, girls in the Humanities Group posted a pass percentage of 57.02%, compared with 32.51% for boys.
