Better relations with Pakistan essential for peace: Farooq

President of Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Farooq Abdullah has said that better relations with neighboring countries are imperative for peace and prosperity and peace can never be established in India without improving relations with Pakistan.

Farooq Abdullah addressing the programme “India-Arab Solidarity Day” organized under the auspices of Indo-Arab League Hyderabad in New Delhi said the improvement of relations with Pakistan is indispensable for peace and prosperity in South Asia.

He said there are long-standing relations between India and the Arab countries and if the Arab countries remain united and there is peace and stability, then India will benefit the most.

Farooq Abdullah in his address, emphasising on the improvement of relations with Pakistan, said peace in India is not possible without it.

Speaking at the event, former Member of Parliament Muhammad Adeeb expressed his views on the relations between India and Arab countries. Ambassadors of Arab countries in India and others also participated in the ceremony.—KMS
