Transition Officer South and Town Municipal Commissioner Saddar, Akhtar Ali Sheikh has said that our duties include the provision of municipal facilities to the people.
During Muharram, for the convenience of the mourners of Imam Hussain (RA), the local administration of South District is making arrangements for road maintenance, sanitation and lighting at a fast pace.
He expressed these views along with the relevant officers on the occasion of inspecting the ongoing development works on the passageways of the Muharram processions, including the various Imambargahs of Lyari and Saddar Towns.
While talking, he said that the municipal administration is using all its available resources to provide all possible municipal facilities to the mourners of Imam Hussain within their territorial limits and will not give them any opportunity to complain.
Along with the arrangement of sanitation and street lights around Imambargahs and places of sermons and congregations, the work of iron of roads, patchwork, cutting of tree branches obstructing closed-circuit cameras and the elimination of encroachments in the way of the route is fast-tracked andgoing on rapidly so that the mourners can serve the cause of HazratImam Hussain (RA) in a better way according to their tradition.
