BAP leaders meet Zardari, join PPP

A number of Balochistan Awami Party leaders called on PPP Co-Chairman and former president Asif Ali Zardari in Karachi and announced to join Pakistan People’s Party on Saturday.

Those who called on the former president at Bilawal House were BAP MPAs Zahoor Buledi, Saleem Khosa and Arif Muhammad Hussaini. Other BAP leaders Haji Malik Shah Gorej, Mir Wali Muhammad, Mir Asghar Rind, Mir Faiq Jamali, Sardarzada Faisal Jamali and Agha Shakeel Durrani announced to join the PPP.

The former president, on this occasion, said the PPP has always raised voice for Balochistan. “The province had a special place in Shaheed Bibi’s (Benazir Bhutto) heart,” he added. Asif Zardari said the PPP had done a lot for Balochistan but more is needed to be done for the province. PPP leaders Ali Maddad Jatak, Noor Ahmad Bangalzai and others were also present on the occasion.
