MELBOURNE – Pakistan captain Babar Azam is currently representing the Sydney Sixers in Australia’s Big Bash League (BBL), but he has struggled to make a significant impact in the ongoing season.
In a recent match against the Melbourne Stars, Babar was dismissed for 17 runs, trapped LBW by Marcus Stoinis. During the incident, Stoinis was seen walking up to Babar and teasing him, with his remarks picked up live by the stump microphone. Stoinis was heard saying, “Babar, it’s time to go.”

He appeared to repeat the line after taking Babar’s wicket, but the crowd noise made it inaudible.
The season, Babar has played seven matches in the BBL, scoring two half-centuries—both among the slowest in the league’s history.
