LAHORE – 72 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) of Punjab Police have been recommended for promotion to the rank of Superintendent of Police (SP).
The recommendations were finalized by a promotion board meeting, which reviewed the cases of 120 officers.
The list of selected officers has been sent to the Punjab government for final approval. The recommendations were forwarded by Punjab’s Inspector General of Police, Dr. Usman Anwar, to the provincial government for review.
Once approved by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, an official notification will be issued to announce the promotions.
Out of the 120 cases discussed during the Promotion Board’s meeting, 72 officers were deemed eligible for promotion based on their merit and adherence to rules and regulations.
Among them, 27 officers were recommended for promotion on a regular basis, while another 27 were eligible on officiating terms. Additionally, 18 officers were recommended to continue working on officiating terms.
