ISLAMABAD – Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Attaullah Tarar, has praised China for being a steadfast and reliable friend of Pakistan, highlighting the long-standing friendship between the two nations.
Speaking at a ceremony hosted by the China Chamber of Commerce in Islamabad on Monday, Tarar acknowledged China’s generous support during the devastating floods of 2025, which caused widespread damage across Pakistan.
The minister referred to China as Pakistan’s “second home,” emphasizing that Pakistan is held in equally high regard in China.
He further reaffirmed the growing strength of bilateral ties between Pakistan and China, noting the increasing cooperation over time.
Minister Tarar emphasized that while Pakistan contributes less than one percent of global carbon emissions, it ranks among the top ten countries most affected by climate change.
Tarar underscored the significant challenges Pakistan faces due to climate vulnerability, despite its minimal role in global emissions.
