FAISALABAD – At least 16 people were killed and seven others injured in a powerful boiler explosion at a chemical factory in the Malik Pur area of Faisalabad,
The blast, which occurred inside a chemical factory premises, was so intense that it caused the roofs of several nearby homes to collapse, adding to the devastation.
According to rescue officials, the explosion’s force led to the collapse of a house adjacent to the factory, where a couple and their two children were buried under the rubble and perished.
The victims of the blast include six children, two women, two elderly individuals, and a factory worker, all of whom were confirmed dead.
Local residents of the area joined hands in a rescue effort, using their own resources to pull bodies from the debris. Rescue teams arrived swiftly at the scene and have since been working tirelessly to assist the injured and recover any other victims who might be trapped under the wreckage. The injured have been transported to nearby hospitals for treatment, with some reported to be in critical condition.
