ISLAMABAD – The Establishment Division has undergone a major reshuffling, with all key joint secretaries being replaced.
The reshuffle, approved by the Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, marks a notable change in the leadership and direction of the division.
Barrister Nabeel Ahmed Awan, Secretary of the Establishment Division, has formed a new team following the approval of the prime minister.
Among the most prominent changes is the appointment of Syeda Shafaq Hashmi as the new Joint Secretary of the Establishment Division.
Syeda Hashmi, a grade-19 administrative officer, previously served as the Joint Secretary at the Senate Secretariat.
Other notable changes include the reassignment of several key officials:
Naila Baqar, the former Joint Secretary of the Establishment Division, has been moved to the Housing and Works Division.
Majid Ali Phanwar, Joint Secretary of Poverty Alleviation, has been appointed as Joint Secretary of the Establishment Division.
Aamir Hussain Ghazi, Deputy Secretary in Poverty Alleviation, has been reassigned under Section 10 and promoted to Joint Secretary within the Establishment Division.
Pyar Ali Lakho, previously serving as a Grade-18 officer in the Sindh Government, has now been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Establishment Division.
Shireen Hina Asghar, Section Officer at the Ministry of Interior, has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Establishment Division under Section 10.
Raja Rashid Ali, former Joint Secretary at the Establishment Division, has been moved to the Poverty Alleviation and Social Welfare Division as Joint Secretary.
These significant changes highlight the government’s commitment to ensuring that key positions are filled with capable and experienced officials, as well as its broader strategy to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of its civil administration.
