Says govt crushes public, as inflation closer to 40pc

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) slammed the sitting government for its incompetent and apathy due to which Pakistan’s economy was sinking with alarming speed, as inflation skyrocketed this week and rupee hit record low.

PTI Central Secretary General Asad Umar and PTI Senator and senior leader Shaukat Tarin in their statements expressed serious concerns over the fast dwindling economic situation of the country Asad Umar said that the imported government’s incompetence and lack of interest were the main contributors to the country’s fast dwindling economy.

He stated that the inflation reached to its highest level in a week compounded the miseries and hardship of the masses but the corrupt and incompetent rulers adopted callous attitude towards the public’s miseries.

Asad Umar revealed that the price of basic necessities has been increased by more than 37 percent, which was the highest level in the history of Pakistan. He said that there has been an increase of 3.68% in just one week, as never has been such an increase in a week-time ever before, as the inept imported government has broken all inflation records.

He reiterated that inflation reached to its highest level in a week compounded the miseries and hardship of the masses but the corrupt and incompetent rulers adopted callous attitude towards the public’s miseries.

Meanwhile, Shaukat Tarin blasted the government for crushing the public under the unprecedented price hike of daily-use items. He said that gravity of the situation could be judged from the fact that inflation climbed near to 40% under the incumbent incompetent government while they used to blame PTI government for inflation of 12.5%.

Shaukat Tarin said that people have been crushed and rupee was in a free fall, as they were completely clueless and and cannot handle the economy.
