The chilling CCTV footage captures every moment of chaos. The clip can be seen smashing shop’s glass counters, hurling abuses, and threatening the terrified shopkeeper, who can be heard pleading for mercy. Shards of glass scatter across the floor as the attacker continues his violent rampage, a scene that has left citizens questioning the effectiveness of Punjab’s ongoing crackdown on illegal weapons.
Despite CCD warning, incidents of armed violence continue to plague the province. This latest act of street justice has reignited debate over the growing culture of vigilantism and unchecked brutality. Ghaziabad Police now registered case against Chand under Section 506-B (criminal intimidation), after a complaint filed by the victim himself.
During interrogation, the accused claimed that a woman known to him was allegedly harassed by the shopkeeper when she visited the store to buy makeup, a claim Chand used to justify his violent assault. However, police sources say investigations are still underway to verify both sides of the story.
As clip went viral, public anger mounted, withthe masses demanding swift and severe punishment for those who take the law into their own hands.
