DUBAI – Pakistanis continue to face UAE visa rejections, and now Consul General of United Arab Emirates (UAE) shared a new reason behind the hindrance.

Speaking with a local TV channel, Dr. Bakheet Ateeq Alremeithi mentioned complaints about the conduct of Pakistani social media influencers, especially those active on the short video platform TikTok, which, according to him, led to stricter visa regulations.

He urged South Asian people to be mindful of cultural representation, warning that propganda or negative posts could further invite trouble. Alremeithi mentioned complaints about online bashing of other countries’ regulations and termed it unacceptable behavior.

Emirati authorities are monitoring social media closely, urging users to be cautious and responsible in their online activities, as misuse could result in serious consequences. The Consul General also addressed issues regarding recognition of Pakistani professional qualifications.

He called on travellers to focus on career opportunities in sectors like education and healthcare, which, he said, offer significant potential for success in the Gulf nation.
