In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has strongly condemned the incessant killing spree by Indian troops in the territory.
The APHC spokesman in a statement in Srina-gar said, “The Indian stubbornness to suppress the frantic freedom movement of Kashmir has yielded nothing to India but is bringing admiration of our freedom-loving people to our youth martyred in the nook and corner of the occupied territory.”
The spokesman, paying rich tributes to the mar-tyrs of Srinagar, said the sacred blood of martyrs is a source of inspiration for the freedom-loving peo-ple of Kashmir. It is due to this inspiration that the resistance movement continues to seethe in Kashmir despite the worst Indian military siege and its state terrorism, he added.
Referring to the dark ages under the shadow of Dogra rule of tyranny, the spokesman said that Ma-haraja Gulab Singh in 1850 tried his best to destroy the Muslim civilization in the Muslim majority state of Jammu and Kashmir but miserably failed to ful-fill his wish to thrust Hindutva civilization.
Denouncing the ruling Indian fascist regime for taking threads from the dead woods of the dark ages, the spokesman said that the fresh nefarious designs of India for reviving the Hindutva culture shall never be envisaged in IIOJK.
Lauding the resistance character of the brave people of Kashmir, he recalled that our history, especially, under the military occupation of India is a saga of oppression and repression not glimpsed in any civilised history of the modern world.
The spokesman urged the United Nations Secre-tary General, Antonio Guterres to take serious cog-nizance of the ruthless killings, arbitrary arrests, killing in fake encounters, vandalising residential homes, desecration of the chastity of women and denial of fundamental rights. He added that the peace-loving people of Kashmir had a vivid concept of right to self-determination as a democratic for-mula to resolve the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the United Nations resolutions, guaranteed by the World Body and the international community.
The spokesman, stressing on the early resolution of the Kashmir dispute, said that the UN, OIC, European Union and the international community must rise to the occasion to resolve the Kashmir dispute so that durable peace could be established in the region.—KMS
