Karachi Additional Inspector General (AIG) Azad Khan revealed that investigators traced foreign links in the drug trafficking network run by Anmol alias Pinky.
Speaking at a press conference on Friday, he said that several women from Lahore were part of the network. The briefing, attended by DIG Crime and Investigation Amir Farooqi and DIG West Irfan Baloch, focused on details surrounding Anmol’s arrest and the ongoing crackdown on her associates.
The case gained public attention after a video circulated on May 12 showing the suspect being presented before a judicial magistrate in Karachi’s South district without handcuffs and under unusual protocol.
Police later identified Anmol as a high-profile fugitive wanted in 10 separate cases. Authorities had earlier claimed to recover weapons, cocaine and other narcotics valued at nearly Rs1.5 million from her possession, alleging she was running a drug supply network in Karachi.
During the media briefing, AIG Khan said the network involved six African nationals as well as women based in Lahore. He stated that Anmol was arrested within the limits of the Garden police station, where officers seized 1.5 kilograms of cocaine, seven kilograms of chemical substances and a pistol.
He further disclosed that additional drugs were recovered during a raid at the suspect’s former residence in the Sachal area, adding that the narcotics were allegedly smuggled into Pakistan from abroad.

The senior officer said disciplinary action had been initiated against officials responsible for negligence during the suspect’s court appearance. He added that further investigations were in progress under the supervision of the Sindh police chief, with assistance from the Federal Investigation Agency and cybercrime authorities.
According to AIG Khan, forensic analysis of Anmol’s mobile phone uncovered 869 contacts, including 132 Karachi-based numbers, while financial investigations revealed transactions amounting to Rs30 million.
He said the suspect had been involved in criminal activities since 2014 and had expanded her operations to Karachi in 2018.
Authorities are now tracing facilitation networks across the country, Khan said, adding that all individuals linked to the case may be placed on the Exit Control List as investigations continue.
